What We Collect & Why

Subscribe page: We collect your email address to send notifications when a new blog post is published. Legal basis: consent.

Guestbook page: We collect name, email, and location you provide to display your entry publicly on our guestbook. Legal basis: consent. (Providing your email and location is entirely optional and is not sold. Your email is not publicly displayed.)

Contact page: We do not store or collect any information used in the process.

How We Use Your Data

• Send post notifications (subscribe list).
• Publish guestbook entries.

Processors & Third Parties

We use service providers to run the site and deliver email. They process data on our behalf:

• Web hosting: NearlyFreeSpeech.NET (site hosting and email delivery).
• Guestbook service: Smart Guestbook (for our public guestbook). See their privacy terms: Privacy and Data Protection Policy
• Forum hosting: ProBoards (for our forums). See their privacy terms: Privacy

We sign or accept their data processing terms where applicable.

International Transfers

If data is sent outside your country (e.g., to the United States for email delivery), we rely on the provider’s safeguards. Details are in the provider’s documentation.

Retention

• Subscribe emails: kept until you unsubscribe; we can remove them upon request.
• Guestbook entries: kept while published; we can remove them upon request.

Your Rights (EEA/UK)

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or to withdraw consent at any time. Contact: admin@auvimasoftware.com. We aim to respond within one month with confirmation that your requested action has happened.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We use HTTPS and limit access to stored data. Do not post sensitive information in the guestbook (it is public).

We do not use any cookies on our website. The guestbook provider may set its own cookies—see their policy linked above.

ProBoards does collect cookies. See information here.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child provided data, contact us to remove it.
